Karlie Hunter started as the new Director of the Ellsworth Public Library on May 1, 2024. Karlie graduated from South Hamilton in 2019 and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Iowa in the spring of 2022. Since then, Karlie has been working at the Iowa Sports Foundation in Ames. She currently lives a few miles outside of Ellsworth with her husband, Isaac, and her golden retriever, Meeka. 

 

Karlie loves to embroider, garden, do home DIY projects, play volleyball and pickleball, go for walks and bike rides, and, of course, read. Her favorite genres are historical fiction and Christian fiction and nonfiction. One of her favorite classics is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
