Radon is a naturally occurring odorless radioactive gas that can cause lung cancer and have a big impact on indoor air quality. Dr. Kapil Arora, Ag Engineer with the Iowa State University Extension Office, will be discussing radon safety. All attendees will receive free radon tests.
Learning Objectives:
- Brief discussion on radon and poor health affects
- Where to best put the test to get the safest, best result
- How to read the results of the test
- Resources from Public Health
- How to mitigate the radon

We will have an interactive story time in the library the last Friday of every month at 10:30am. All kids from birth to preschool age are welcome!
After the story, there will be time for the kids to play in the library as the adults connect with each other. The library will also share tools and resources with parents.

A book club designed for adults ages 18-30(ish) in the Hamilton County area (and surrounding communities) to get together and talk about a variety of books. The group will meet monthly on the last Monday of the month from 6-7pm.
The book to discuss will be announced and handed out at the previous month's meeting. (For example, September's book will be handed out in August.)
